Last night, Keith and I went to a wedding for one of the pilots in the squadron. It was the first social event Keith and I attended together in years. It wasn't to bad since it was really small and I didn't have to socialize with people I didn't know to much.
The best part was that the bride pulled Keith on the dance floor and made him dance. I laughed so hard cause I know that Keith hates to dance especially fast dancing. I surely cannot get him on the dance floor to dance so I thought it was hysterical and karma for all the times he would not dance with me! Below is a video of Keith and his co-worker Kevin dancing. It was so funny cause neither one wanted to be there but who can tell a bride no?

A couple of birds have taken residence upon our porch. They built a really cool mud nest that we assume have eggs in it. We think this because they are very protective of the porch.
I have no idea what kind of bird this is but I looked it up on the internet and the kinds of birds that make mud nest are swallows and martins. When the cable guy came, he thought it was a warbler but I don't think so anymore. We hope by winter time, the eggs will hatch and we can get rid of it since you can imagine the mess they are making on the porch. In the meantime, we will keep ducking when they fly close to our heads like they are attacking!

We went meet Michelle in Philadelphia on Friday night. It was so good to see her but reminded me of how much I miss her.
We ate dinner at a kind of fancy place called McCormicks which was delicious and then walked around downtown.
Michelle also helped me buy another bathing suit so I did not have to go through that ordeal by myself! Just one of the reasons I miss her so much. I also am going to say congrats to Michelle cause starting July 14th, she will be starting a new job teaching pre-schoolers. She is tired of flying around and ready to put down some roots. I am sure she will be just as good at this as she is at everything else she does.
On Saturday and Sunday, Keith and Kyle went kayaking. First they tried them out to see which one Keith could fit his long legs in.
They started near the base and in two separate trips made it to a beach where I met them and picked them up. They got a good workout paddling those things and had a great time doing it. We didn't accomplish much in the house but that is ok. Life is too short to spend it all unpacking boxes!

I know I have not blogged in forever but I am going to catch up, I promise. Here are a couple of pictures of Connor, my cute nephew.
Christine was feeding him some nasty food that he did not want. That face is so precious.
That is Kyle is my back window while we were driving to Delaware. It was such a long and boring drive but we made it safely and that is what counts. It would have been much more fun if Kyle and I had ridden together but we couldn't do that. But we are here now and unpacking boxes. Or rather, I am unpacking boxes and Kyle is playing Xbox. When things get a little more straightened up, I will take some pictures. Back to work.

Today was our last day at the beach. It has been quite an adventure, mostly for me. I have a swollen ankle from a sunburn, a jellyfish stung me and then this afternoon on our last trip to the beach, my bathing suit broke. But Pam and I have not stopped laughing.
It has been so much fun being with her this weekend. We have had a lot of catching up to do on everything and this weekend has given us a chance to do that.
Of course, Pam has had many opportunities to laugh at all my misfortunes this weekend but that is what I love most about her. She is going to make me laugh about all of this. Of course I will never believe her again when she tells me the morning sun is not dangerous...hahaha.
Though Pam missed her kids, she had a great time and loved playing in the waves. She wasn't even scared of the jellyfish. This was one of the best weekends I have had. It is the first time I spent a weekend with one of my friends in a very long time and it has been great. So, thanks Pam for wrenching yourself away from your kids and spending time with me and making me laugh so darn much. I really needed this. I love you!

Finally, we are at the beach. This is the view from the room. It is beautiful weather and the beach is just perfect.
Our room is really nice and very comfortable. The resort is huge and there is everything to do here including tennis and volleyball. However, I don't see Pam and I doing to many sport activities.
As soon as we got here, we could not wait to get down to the water. It was great to feel the water on my toes.
Our first night we went eat at the Gulf Island . It was amazing. I started eating so fast, I forgot to take a picture of my food. But I ate Snapper Parmesean and it was amazing. We also had fried pickles for an appetizer. It is so much fun to be with Pam and we have not stopped talking yet. That is what is fun about best friends. You never run out of things to say. So we are off for another day of sand and sun!

I am down in Lafayette and it has been a whirlwind. But one night I went with Christine to her friends house and ate some awesome boiled crawfish.
The funny part of this picture is that Christine hates all seafood but was dared to eat one crawfish. With a free night on the line, she peeled a crawfish and ate it. I was quite impressed but thought it might be a waste of a good crawfish since I don't think she appreciated it like I could. But it was a good night and now I am looking forward to going to the beach.
