Kyle and I roadtripped to South Carolina yesterday. Here he is hurtling down the highway at 70mph and texting at the same time. What you don't see is me yelling at him not to text while he is driving. These kids make me crazy. He did do most of the driving and did a great job even around the winding roads of the Smoky Mountains.Monday, July 30, 2007

The Air Force can be a small world. Josh's friend Chris was stationed in Charleston with us when Josh was in the 7th grade. His family is now stationed here and he and Josh have reconnected now that they are in college. We had a couple of mean games of Scrabble last night with my friend, Amanda, and Josh won one and Amanda won one. I need to start studying up on words without vowels since that seemed to be all I had!

We finished our week of school and it did not go as well as I wanted mostly because I have been sick since Tuesday. I am in the midst of a wonderful summer cold. But I did enjoy a couple of the General's speeches and the General's wives were surprisingly very down to earth. I enjoyed listening to their stories and we even had a fancy luncheon with them where I was able to avoid spilling anything or smearing food all over my face while eating as I tend to do. I was careful! Most of the speakers that came in had some interesting things to say but my favorite was the Protocol officer. She taught us how to dress (which everyone knows I need desperately), how to send out invitations and best of all, how to set a table. I am now ready to throw a dinner party and do it right! Anyway, if anyone needs any other tips, just let me know. I have a whole book of them.!!!!

Keith and I are tired after a very long day at Squadron Commander School that went from 6:45 to 5:00 then a social. We were only in class a short time together then I went with the other spouses to do our own thing. My favorite part was a talk from a general's wife. She spoke about many things, including baby gifts, coffees and how to squash rumors but my the best part was her take on how spouses are all equal from the commanders spouse to the one stripe airman's spouse. That has always been my take but because some other wives thought differently, I stayed away from those kind of things. I know other general's wives will be speaking and I hope they all come with that same message. So far, I have been a good girl and kept my mouth shut, I haven't rolled my eyes or sighed loudly. I am trying to keep in mind that I doing this for Keith. He is going to owe me big time for this!Wednesday, July 11, 2007
Josh, Kyle and I went see Harry Potter last night at midnight. It was good but we were all tired and had to get up this morning for something or the other. We always go on opening night for the Harry Potter openings and I realize that Kyle will be in college (hopefully) when the last one or two comes out. Does this mean I will have to come find him and Josh whereever they are so we can go see the opening to keep up this tradition. I may be getting to old for midnight openings! I also saw Transformers and that movie was one of the best I have seen in a long time. It was funny and extremely exciting. I think I might have screamed a couple of times. But absolutely worth seeing.........just maybe not at midnight!Wednesday, July 04, 2007

last week I went to Duke for the basketball camp. This is a picture of me and one of the Dukes former players Jon Sheyer. The players were alot taller than they look on tv.
This is the picture of me and the Dukes mascot, the blue devil.
This is Dukes home floor. I actually got to play on this court more than once, it was crazy.
These are the jerseys that are hung up for the best players to ever play the game at Duke.
