Kyle is at the airport waiting to get on to go to his basketball camp. He is really excited about it and I sent a camera with him so hopefully he will get some good pictures. Unfortunately, his flight ended up being over an hour late so he got pretty bored at the airport! Have fun, Kyle!

Happy Father's Day! Keith was able to come home for Father's Day due to unforseen circumstances. We all went to breakfast since the boys worked all different shifts today. On my side, it is good to be home. The house looked okay and Opal survived! Its weird how fast time goes and how little these kids needs me on a day to day basis. But I am so lucky to still have them with me now and will appreciate that everyday.

Keith and I went to Norfolk to see our great friend, Jason. He is in the Navy and stationed on the USS Cole. We didn't know that was the ship he was on when we went down there but we were excited to be able to tour it.
It is a big dang ship. They have a hallway they call the Hall of Heroes and there is a gold star on the floor for each of the people that died from the terrorist attack on the ship. Jason brought us to exactly where it happened and I got chills.
Keith was like a big kid on this ship and was interested in every little thing. Here are he and Jason next to one of the big guns on the front of the ship.
This is Jason in his office. He is an Engineer on the ship and fixes everything from the air conditioner to the ice cream machine. We are so proud of Jason and admire him so much. It was great to see him again and hopefully it won't be three years before we see him again.

Hey!! We are back from the beach. It took me a little bit to stop being lazy and blog this. We had a great time and got really, really burnt. We were also in Myrtle Beach so I got to eat po-boys and really good fried shrimp. I made a crawfish etouffee' one night, which everyone loved!! Keith, I want a ride in the C-17. You look really cool flying it! I love and miss you mom and Keith and I will see you later!!

Keith flew the other day and took people from the base as an incentive flight. One of those people was a photographer and he took these pictures.
This is the inside of the C-17. There are two pickup trucks in the middle of the passengers. It is really big.
This picture is from the cockpit window while the crew was aerial refueling from a tanker. This is one of Keith's favorite part of flying.
That is Keith's head you see flying the airplane.
There he is greeting the passengers as they come off the plane just like a good commander should!

The first C-17 has arrived at Dover AFB. There was a big ceremony for it and a lot of bigwigs attended but the most important aspect of it was how excited Keith is.
Today he got to fly it around with a bunch of passengers so they could have the experience. Keith was just happy to fly!

Today, we spent our time in NYC with Keith's cousin, Misty and her husband, Sam. We had lunch with them at a fancy Italian restaurant and visited. Keith and Misty had some catching up to do. They are a fun couple and I know we will be spending some more time with them in the future.
We walked by the David Letterman show and I have a plan to go there and see him which is a dream of mine. AND, I now "know somebody" (man, I love that phrase) on the inside of the show.
Here is a view of NYC from the Staten Island ferry. Keith and I parked at Staten Island and rode the ferry into the city. We also rode subways with help from Misty on how to get where. It was all very exciting but I am happy to be back on my couch now resting. What a weekend!

Keith and I are with Michelle and John in front of Independence Hall in Philadelphia. That is George W. (Washington, not Bush) behind us! We met Michelle and John there because they had a layover and spent the day. We had a great time and ate some great food. Now we are off to another adventure.
