Today is not only Easter, it is also my mom's birthday. Being it falls on a holiday makes me remember how wonderful holidays were when I was young. I think that is why I love holidays so much now. Mom always made them special and always put us first so that we enjoyed them. (Thanks Blaine, David, Christine and Neal for being in the picture!)
Here she is with her granddaughter, Bree, who is now a teenager! You can see the pots in the background so you know she was cooking. Yea, mom's food was the center of our holidays but not everything. I just remember being happy on those days and having fun, especially on Easter when we would pacque eggs with each other. And trade candy. Candy was a big deal to me. I love it. Even after we were grown, mom would know what our favorite candy was and have a bag of it for us at Easter. These are good memories I cherish on her birthday. I still miss her every single day but these memories make me smile when I think of her. And I appreciate that she left me with those. I love you, Mom. Always.

This afternoon, the boys and I dyed Easter eggs. I love to dye Easter eggs. I think I get that from mom since she always made it such a good time when we were growing up. The boys were really good sports about doing it since I am sure they would have preferred to be doing just about anything else.
This is my butterfly that I am dedicating to Michelle since she could not be with us.
Here is Joshus's two favorite eggs. I love his ninja eggs face.
Here are Kyle's eggs that he decorated with a sports theme. I love the 17 basketball. Go 17!
And this is my egg that is a self portrait. We had a good time and the boys even helped me clean up after so I couldn't ask for more. I told Kyle this would probably be the last time he would have to do this with me but I lied. I will try every time I have these kids around at Easter to dye eggs again. Ha! Happy Easter, everyone.
Keith is in that plane and it was flying right above me. He flew in yesterday for just enough time for us to have lunch. It was pretty cool. I was driving to the base to go meet him and there he was, right above me! Enjoy March Madness...I know I am.

While Keith was in town we went see the O'Fallon spring musical because Doug was in it. The play was "Little Shop of Horrors" and Doug played a very horrible dentist and he did it very well. If you can remember, the guy on the right is the one who won Mr. Irresistible.
It was hard to believe that it was a high school play since it so so good and the actors sang so good. But of course I am partial to Doug so I thought he was the best person in the whole play and his singing is absolutely incredible. Good job, Doug...I am not ready for this graduation.

Oh yeah, I found these pics on Myspace so they are not mine. I am not exactly sure who took them. I think someone named Chelsea.

Happy 21st Birthday, to my oldest son. It is hard to believe that 21 years ago, Joshua was born. Man, time is flying. Joshua is my miracle baby as most people know. He has the kindest heart of anyone I know. He is good to everyone, forgives everyone, and doesn't know how to hold a grudge. I always try to learn how to be a better person from him. I love you so much, Josh.
We had our party for Josh yesterday since Keith was here and the boys didn't have school, of course. I am always happy when I am able to spend time with the boys but we did miss Michelle. Again! St. Patrick's Day is always a great day because of Joshua. He got his cool hat from his cool Aunt Bridgette. He always gets lots of St. Patricks Day gifts. That is our last birthday until December now. No more cake.....

Yesterday was Keith's birthday. We had a good day but we missed Michelle. Instead of going out to eat, I cooked for Keith. I had a roast from Adrien's and Keith really liked that.
The boys gave Keith a massager and you can see that Keith is hugging it cause he loves it so much. We all had a turn using it on our backs and it felt really good. I am glad Keith made it home for his birthday. Now we have one more birthday to celebrate in a couple of days!

O'Fallon High School seniors Kyle Thibodeaux (left) and Curtis Newcomb celebrate after an O'Fallon score against East St. Louis Friday.
Kyle made the front page of the Belleville News Democrat. He was asked by the Superintendent to paint up for the game to support the team and get the fans going. He said he had a great time. O'Fallon basketball won the regionals with that game and are going play sectionals next week in Bloomington.
Go O'Fallon!
